Hilton Garden Inn - Independence, MO

Would stay again Read to the end.
The not so good parts. Only the freight elevator was working during our visit, but, it got us where we were going. The restrooms in the lobby started to breakdown during our visit and we had no room servicing during our time. Could not call the desk, the phone did not work.
Now, the good.
We were a group of around 65 for a convention, there was also a couple of young sports teams staying as well.
The staff were delightful and kind, the breakfast buffet was good, many options and the people kept tables cleared as guests would finish.
The meals at the conventions were good as well. I believe some of it was from the adjoining steakhouse, was all good.
The hotel was a good location, the rooms were typical hotel rooms, bed was comfortable enough and quiet enough for us.
There seems to be a needed renovation taking place from the top floor down.
We decided it was a good enough hotel, despite the few hiccups and would totally stay again🙂

Wait a little while, under renovation as of late Sep ‘25. Restaurant was very good. As noted in the title, this hotel is currently being renovated and it needs it. The restaurant was very good even they evidently just recently started serving dinner as per our excellent waitress, Klarissa!

a nice weekend stay Hotel is clean, staff are VERY friendly and helpful, great location. I traveled for a baseball weekend series and was originally going to stay at another hotel nearby until the negative reviews swayed me to cancel and choose this property. I'm glad I made that choice. Hotel has plenty of dining choices in the immediate area, is just off the interstate, but no highway noise at all, and VERY convenient to the Sports Complex just 9 or so miles away. There were PLENTY of other people in baseball attire doing the same thing I was and were in for the weekend baseball series. The hotel itself could use a shot-in-the-arm and a remodel, the wallpaper was bubbling at the seams from the years its been there but the room was clean. Only other issue I'd cite was that room only gets serviced by housekeeping every other day, which I didn't learn until my final day but otherwise it was a fine experience. Hotel staff was great; I'd stay here again without a second thought and I'd recommend to friends/family without hesitation.

Nice stay This was a nice stay. The hotel is tired and could used a remodel but it was clean. Probably the cleanest hotel we have stayed in a bit. The front desk was polite when needed.
The air was set at 68 when we entered so that was a pleasant change as well.

Good location. Clean and priced right I liked the ease of the hotel. I always use the digital key. It saves so much time and is so easy. My only complaint is the bathroom has a very low yellow light. It made putting makeup on very difficult. I also prefer an area for charging that the cords can go directly in. I had to charge my phone in the car as I had forgot the adapter.

Nice hotel, good area Booked a room over the phone for a concert, as the first hotel we booked didn’t work out. Lady on the phone said the rate would be $307/night and we could pay cash upon arrival. Gave them my card number to hold the room until we arrived (15 minutes away from the hotel). Upon arrival, we check in the attendant at the front desk (Ben) said we could not pay cash and the rate plus fees/tax was $507 and did not include breakfast, they wanted to charge us an additional $14/person for breakfast. I then explained that the lady on the phone told me we could pay cash not even 15 minutes before that and the rate was $200 less on the phone. We decided to stay as this was our last resort and it was in a good area, felt safe and 10 minutes from Arrowhead. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Elevator is VERY slow! You would be better off taking the stairs instead of waiting 10 minutes for the elevator. At check out, we returned our room keys and told the attendant on duty we were disappointed that we were told one thing by an employee and then another upon arrival by another.

Beautiful Grounds The hotel exterior and the grounds are amazing. Surrounded by green grass, bike paths and a creek, it was great for getting outside and walking. Several restaurants close by and one. Really good one In the hotel as well. They were pet friendly and plenty of places to take dogs out. Rooms were large and clean, average overall. Service was very good and it was quick service. Overall a very good place to stay and would stay there again in the future.

Quick 1 night stay The hotel was clean and in a good location to the interstate. The staff I interacted with were friendly. The pool area was older and closed but it seemed they were doing some updates. If I was there longer I could review their food and beverage options.
