Quality Inn & Suites - Longview

Excellent Chck-in was quick and easy, lobby was very clean & comfortable. Rooms were clean & beds are comfortable. Easy on/off interstate 20. Food options close by. Needed a better quality breakfast option but overall was excellent choice for $$.

Pleasant I can say my stay at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Longview was a very pleasant stay for my few days while in Longview. I expect to stay there again in the future and recommend it to others who are visiting the area.

We had a wonderful night at this hotel We slept well in a comfortable bed, not too hard, not too soft. Enjoyed the fresh made waffles at breakfast but was missing the egg omelets they used to serve at this chain. Room was clean and spacious so we where very happy. If you use a GPS to get here, you will be directed to the wrong hotel, you just have to keep going 1/2 mile down the road past the trees and there it is if you are coming from the westside of the road.

Decent place for the Price I was supose to stay with my family in Shreveport,LA and then fly out from Longview the next day, but last min I no one could take me to the airport. I found this place on booking.com. It was a decent price, and while it was a little rough around the edges, the sheets were clean, and so was the bathroom! The two things I need most for comfort. It needs a little updating, but the staff was all very friendly, and it was the perfect location.

Nice hotel at a great rate. Wyndham Longview was a very nice hotel location was convienent and accessible. Breakfast was the standard serve yourself fare. Room was clean and comfortable.

Nice Property for an overnight stay I had arrived at this property at approximately 7:30pm after traveling for 2 days. The desk clerk first assigned a room on the 2nd floor with 2 double beds. I have reserved a room with 2 queen beds and requested a 1st floor room. The clerk before giving me the room key asked if I needed a 1st floor room. I told her I did. I was traveling with my 83 yo mother who has spine problems. I was then assigned a 1st floor room with a queen bed and queen sofa that would make into a bed. We were unable to get the television to work. I went to the front desk. The clerk followed me to the room and tried the television also. The clerk never said, the television was a Curtis Mathis tv, which you used the tv remote to turn on the tv, then pushed the source button and selected HDM1 or HDM2, then used the Direct TV remote to change the channels. I found out this information when I checked out the next morning. I was very tired so I really did not need the tv at all.

The room was nicely furnished with a pillow top mattress on the bed. All in all this room was nice and more than adequate for out needs.

A+ budget hotel I just checked out of this hotel. It is set back from I-20 in a safe, surprisingly quiet area of Longview near several gas stations and fast food restaurants. The building and grounds are clean and well lit, and there is plenty of parking. The lobby area is basic, but clean and well laid out, with the continental breakfast bar in one corner along with a few tables. The breakfast area is really small, although for the two nights I stayed here, it was never crowded. There is an outdoor pool on the wooded side of the hotel, which looked like a relatively nice place to cool off on a warm day.

Check-in was quick and done by a helpful and friendly employee who was very knowledgeable about priceline.com and how this hotel uses it to fill up its empty rooms (I used priceline's name your price service and saved about $20 as compared to the best rate on the MicroTel website). Within a few minutes I had my key to a second floor room with one queen sized bed.

After spending two nights, I found the room to be really small. In fact, much smaller than any other hotel I've stayed in. However, what it lacked in space it made up for by being clean, comfortable and modern. The ~32" LCD HDTV mounted on the wall was great to watch from the extremely comfortable bed (with a lot of pillows and nice looking comforter). The room also had a micro-fridge, small built-in work desk and what resembled a "day bed" (aka place to put your bags) on the window sill. The room definitely looked and felt more upscale than I expected for a 2 star place. Everything was spotless and fully functional including the free wireless internet, although the connection was a bit on the slow side. The spotless bathroom had a very wide shower/tub combo with great water pressure. Overall, the room was small but much nicer than expected and was perfect for someone traveling alone. I got to thinking how the rooms with two queen beds would have to be bigger than my room; simply put, two queen beds would not fit in the room I had, unless those rooms have smaller bathrooms or something.

The free breakfast was basic, with bagels, pastries, cereal, juices and good coffee. No fruit or yogurt, though, despite the management response to a previous reviewer's comments about the breakfast being skimpy.

In summary the MicroTel Longview was inexpensive, comfortable, modern, functional, in a good area, safe, with friendly and efficient service. Despite the small room, it significantly exceeded my expectations and put MicroTel on my list of "to stay again" budget hotel chains. This particular hotel blows away any Days Inn or Super 8 I've ever stayed at.

Great place for a reasonable rate Situated right off I-20 (easy access), lobby decorated nicely, staff courteous, CLEAN, rooms beautifully decorated and everything VERY CLEAN. Comfortable beds and pillows, lots of water pressure in the shower, plenty of fluffy towels. Lacked for nothing. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to fully appreciate the facility so I can't speak for anything other than the above. I will say the continental breakfast was lame. Just some stale looking pastries and cereal and no seperate room for eating .It was a great place for just sleeping/resting and showering. Plan on breakfast elsewhere.
