Sonesta Essential Hotel & Suites Kansas City/Blue Springs

Fairly good stay Quality Inn in Blue Springs has a pretty good charm and redeeming qualities with a few issues.

One attention to detail that you witness often is the staff is usually cleaning not only the rooms but the high traffic areas throughout the hotel. We had to ask for towels pretty often however. Not the hotel's fault but the 1st night out of 4 we were there they had a pretty bad storm move through the area and the power went out around 1130 pm and it was not restored until around 1pm the next afternoon. Because we had to take ice cold showers Sunday morning, we should have been given somewhat of a discount but none was offered. Also our room was called a suite and I'm not sure what they classify but with other properties normally a suite is more than beds and a kitchen counter but usually offers a sofa bed and a sitting area. Not what we stayed in.

Swimming pool is outside and it was pretty chilly but our son enjoyed it. Breakfast is pretty good as well and overall it's a decent value. It could use a few upgrades but we were fairly satisfied.

Good service Simoni Nkhoma chief I am, and Meriel was very nice. We came here on a church trip. I recommend, breakfast was excellent and tasty. Everyone is ver friendly, thank you. Front desk was super kind. Will come again

Safe location Very clean, location is safe, i recommend staying here, breakfast is very good for complimentary. The staff merial was very helpful and on it and keeping the whole place cleannn thank you merial for the good service

Clean and Quiet.Good Value If you are visiting Independence, Missouri and are looking for a reasonable priced hotel that is good value for the money, check this out. We were coming to visit the newly renovated Harry Truman Presidential Library and this is close. Our room was clean and quiet. In these covid times, our breakfast was a grab and go with a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich and a yogurt and fruit. We stayed here before on our visit to Independence and would stay here again.

Fresh,Newly remodeled and super NICE! Great beds! The staff here is totally service oriented and with a big heart! Delightful and very professional and genuinely friendly desk person named Nancy that is easy to talk with and very helpful. She is also fluent in Spanish and super easy to ask about local dining places. I stayed over a week in this hotel and find the staff all friendly and family like which is rare in a larger hotel chains. The value of the rooms is excellent and the rooms have new AC and Heating units with all new carpeting. Great layout of the room with an extra window seat/shelf for storage! Breakfast is basic and enough for any person desiring a nice easy hot breakfast. In my stay housekeeping is pleasant and the rooms are kept super clean! Beds are medium firm and had NO bad back from their mattresses..big plus for me! Their rates are reasonable and the value is great for long or overnight term customers. Easy parking that is security lit and is in a safe low crime neighborhood. Lots of families seem to stay here on the weekends I noticed, so seems great for kids too. They have a pool and the lobby is compact but nicely appointed like an upscale hotel! Over all this is the best place to lodge in my opinion if you are visiting Kansas City as location is easy on off ramp to Hwy 70. You will enjoy the staff and their friendly professionalism. When I stayed I had freezing rain and my car got frozen totally and he staff let me take warm water to deice my car so I could get into it. The hotel has a nice laundry facility for long term guests! I have stayed in many hotels across the country and this small personal hotel has a HEART and I rate it a 5 Star Gem!

Awesome Hotel Family stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. Some of the lights did not work in room.

When I told Michael the manager on duty, he jumped right on it & had issues fixed.

Upon leaving on our 3rd day, Michael gave us a parting gift. Michael & staff were great. We will definitely stay here again.

Good stay Stayed solo for one night. Got a queen bed room cute, small, but enough room for just me. There was a shelf above the air conditioning unit which I thought was very convenient and offered more counter space. They have complimentary breakfast but I was not awake for it. The dining area looked nice and clean.

Very good, clean We stopped here as we were driving through Missouri. This hotel was clean, had a very good check in, and a good breakfast in the morning. The bathroom and bed were comfortable and very clean. I would stay here again.
